Friday 18 June 1926:

"Mrs. Mary Laughlin, aged 60 years, widow of the late J. T. Laughlin of Luke, died at her home there Wednesday morning about 11 o'clock, less than an hour after being stricken with a heart attack. She had been well and going about her home performing her usual household duties when she was suddenly taken ill.

The following children survive her, Michael Laughlin of Helen, W.Va.; Mrs. Robert Stegmaier of Baltimore; Mrs. Frank Borges, John and Joseph Laughlin and Miss Mary Laughlin.

She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Ellen Foley of Cumberland, and seven grandchildren.

Requiem Mass will be said at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport at 9 o'clock Saturday morning by the pastor, Rev. John A. Smith."

"The funeral of Mrs. Mary Laughlin, aged 60 years, who died suddenly last Wednesday morning of last week at her home at Luke, was held Saturday morning at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport. Requiem Mass was said by Rev. John A. Smith, the pastor. Rev. William E. Kelly, assistant pastor, and Rev. Father Kilgannon, of South Cumberland, were in the sanctuary.

The pallbearers were Howard C. Dixon, Joseph Mansfield, Elmer Fazenbaker, John W. Cox, James Donahue and Thomas Moran. Flowerbearers were Robert Stegmaier and John Laughlin, her grandsons; and Paul Hoban and James Laughlin, her nephews.

A large number of friends attended the service. Out-of-town relatives and friends here were John Hoban and Miss Bernie Hoban, of Parkersburg; Mrs. William Foley and family, Miss Coletta Doerner, Mr. and Mrs. George Stegmaier, of Cumberland; Mr. and Mrs. William Borges, of Far Rockway, N. Y.

Mrs. Laughlin was the widow of the late J. T. Laughlin, and is survived by the following children, Michael Laughlin of Helen, W.Va.; Mrs. Robert Stegmaier of Baltimore; Mrs. Frank Borges, John and Joseph Laughlin of Luke.

She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Ellen Foley of Cumberland and seven grandchildren."
