The deceased was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church of Huntingdon. He had lived in Huntingdon County nearly all his life and formerly resided in Mill Creek. He was employed by the Maintenance of Way Department of the Pennsylvania Railroad.
Surviving are his wife and five children: Mrs. Arlene Kennedy at home, Cpl. William. Aurand-of the U. S. Army, stationed .at New Cumberland, Mrs. Marjorie Carson of Mill Creek and Beverly and Fred Aurand, both at home. Four sisters, Mrs. Daisy Bathrust and Miss Annie Aurand of Tyrone, Mrs, Alice Houck of Bellefonte and Mrs. Hazel Robbins of Chester, two brothers, Charles Aurand and Samuel Aurand of Tyrone, along ! with one granddaughter, also survive.
Funeral services, will be held on Saturday at 2:30 p. m. at his late home with the Rev. E. L. Manges officiating. Interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the home anytime. Temple's funeral service, Petersburg.
