AURAND - Joseph Robert Aurand, a well known farmer of Eden Hill, Huntingdon county, died at his home at 10:10 Thursday evening, Oct. 31, of cancer of the liver. He had been in failing health for several months past. He was born at Vira, Mifflin county, July 28, 1848, and was the son of Abram and Martha Aurand, (deceased). He had lived all his life in Mifflin county, until thirteen years ago, when he moved to Blair county. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church for a number of years. He was united in marriage July 31, 1884, to Miss Lettie C. Kirk, of McVeytown who survives with the following children: William R., of Altoona, Samuel W., of Arch Springs, xxxx M., Harold M., Annie C., Charles, James A., Chester A. and Alice M., at home. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. L. E. Tweed, of Huntingdon, and Mrs. E. A. Rosenberry of Sinking Valley.
