Mrs. Flora E. Baker

Mrs. Flora E. Baker, life-long and highly respected resident of Newburg, Aitch, R. D., died at the home of her son, Dean C. Baker of Newburg, on Sunday, December 2, 1956, at 3 p. m. She had been in failing health for three years and had been seriously ill for the past six months.

Mrs. Baker was born in Saxton on September 3, 1877, a daughter of Michael and Julia (Conlon) Dunmire. She was united in marriage to Dawson C. Baker of Newburg on June 24, 1894. Her husband preceded her in death on June 21, 1937.

She was an active member of the Methodist Church of Newburg and was always willing to help her friends as long as her health permitted.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Homer T. (Pearle) Gracey of Lewistown, Mrs. Ernest S. (Regina) Foster of Newburg, Mrs. Samuel J. (Mona) Rorar of Wood and Mrs. Joseph C. (Doris) McGahey of Cassville; one son, Dean C. Baker of Newburg; nine grandchildren; and one brother, J. C. Dunmire of Foxburg.

Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Wednesday, December 5, at the Newburg Methodist Church. The Rev. Samuel R. Kissiel will officiate and interment will be at the Newburg Cemetery directed by the McClain funeral services of Cassville. Friends will be received at the late home from 4 p. m. Tuesday until 11:30 a. m. Wednesday when the body will be removed to the church.
