Bio

I am a young local history/genealogy researcher that lives in Penn Township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania.

I do research on all the surnames of the Woodcock Valley Area. Names include; Grubb, Norris, Fisher, Garner, Grove, Hetrick, Fouse, Brindle, Isett, Rodgers, Shultz, Beaver, Boyer, Moyer, Brumbaugh, Schell, Hoover, Lynn, McCall, Snare, Gosnell, Enyeart, Moberg, Riley, Anderson, Speck, Carbaugh, Donelson, Corcelius, Hawn, Kyler, Forshey, Gill, Magill, Heffner, Lininger, Park(s), Thompson, Morningstar, Getic, Richardson, Gongloff, Auman, Stone, Hess, Utley, Cunningham, Summers, Hirst, Weller, Widner, Shontz, Boller, Knode, Frank, Hunter, and Harker. Plus many others with connections to the Woodcock Valley. The Woodcock Valley is a small valley in southwestern Huntingdon County. The eastern part of the valley (as of 1973) is taken by the construction of Raystown Lake, while the western half remains, with its farm fields and rural communities. All the surnames before mentioned are interconnected in some way. I am also related to a lot of the before mentioned surnames and I take deep pride in my community and my ancestral roots.

Lots of my time is spent editing memorials from all the local cemeteries. Using ancestry.com and first-hand knowledge from local residents, I am able to make corrections to these memorials.

I go around and peruse the local cemeteries and I also take pictures for this site. Please credit me for the photos I take, Thank you!
