Mr. Wade M. Alexander, 31, Oak Tree Court, Rt. 1, Frederick, died Monday, Aug. 6, of injuries sustained in a construction accident at the Potts & Callahan Excavating Co., Baltimore.

Born in Waynesboro, Va., Oct. 16, 1947, he was a son of Charles A. and Earline E. Page Alexander, Burnsville, Va.

Mr. Alexander was a member of Local 37 Operating Engineers, and John R. Webb Post 3285, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Frederick. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. Mr. Alexander was employed as a welder by Potts and Callahan.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Judy L. Evans Alexander; two brothers, Charles E. Alexander, College Park, and Samuel D. Alexander, Beltsville; one sister, Mrs. Larry V. McDaniel, Beltsville; one stepson, Jeffrey S. Swartz, Riverdale.

Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, and from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at Stauffer Funeral Home, Motter Ave. Extd., Frederick. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, from the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
