He was born April 13, 1938 in Waynesboro, to the late Charles Andrew Alexander and Earline Elizabeth Page.
He was also preceded by two brothers, Samuel David Alexander and Wade Alexander.
He moved to Maryland as a teenager, where after high school, he pursued a career as an electrician, retired from IBEW, Local 26 in Washington DC, moved to Burnsville, where he established his own electrical business, serving Bath County residents until 2014 when he became ill and was a member of the Burnsville United Methodist Church and the Burnsville Rescue Squad & Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Anne Alexander; three children, Lynn Marie Alexander , Charles Edward (Glasfira) Alexander and Andrew Allen (Cathie) Alexander; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and sister, Elfreda McDaniel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Burnsville United Methodist Church with Pastor Lorrie Aikens officiating.
Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Waynesboro.
