Loretta M. Berkheimer, 66, of 227 Fairview Ave., McSherrystown, died Thursday morning, April 29, at 9 a.m. at the Hanover General Hospital. Born in Littlestown she was the daughter of the late Harper J. Bair, who died Dec. 2, 1967.
She was member of the Annunciation Church in McSherrystown. She was a retired employee of the Middleburg Mfg. Co., Hanover and a member of the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse E. Berkheimer; mother, Matilda A. Gouker Bair of McSherrystown; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Slaybaugh of McSherrystown, Mrs. Harriet Decker of Hanover and Mrs. Ruth Weaver, Littlestown; one brother, Harper J. Bair Jr. of Ocean View, Del.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, meeting at the Hick's Funeral Home at 8:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Annunciation Church at 9 a.m. Pastor Rev. Paul M. Miller will officiate. Interment will be in the Annunciation Cemetery.
