Verna B. Cornman, 73, 2811 Spring Road, Carlisle, died Thursday in Carlisle Hospital.
She was born in Idaville, daughter of the late Mervin A. and Abby Jane Baldwin Beamer. She was a member of Good Shepherd Community United Methodist Church, RD5 Carlisle, and was retired from C.H. Masland and Sons after 20 years of employment.
Surviving are her husband, Earl H. Cornman; three sons, Clair E. Beamer, RD2 Gardners, Richard L. Cornman, 2811 Spring Road, Carlisle, and Wayne B. Cornman, 934 Alexander Spring Road, Carlisle; a daughter, Carol A. Cornman, 13 Marilyn Drive, Carlisle; four half-brothers, Richard Beamer, RD1 Carlisle, Glenn Beamer, Washington, D.C., Raymond Beamer, Mechanicsburg, and Karl Beamer, Phoenix, Ariz.; three half-sisters, Martha Ludwig, Mechanicsburg, Ruth Frank and Gladys Anderson, Carlisle; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Charles W. McCulloh Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
