Alene G. Faulkner, 88, of Little Rock died July 24, 2012 at Batesville, Arkansas.

Born January 11, 1924 in Greensboro, Georgia, she was the daughter of Giles Marvin and Mary Salina Huffstelter Goforth.

She attended Holy Springs Baptist Church, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and worked for many years for Western Meat Packers. She loved reading, soap operas, dominoes, crocheting and the Senior Citizen's day camp at Aldersgate.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Faulkner, Jr., son Charles Nathan Faulkner and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors are her son, George Faulkner and his wife, Wanda, of Batesville, Arkansas, brothers, Jimmy Goforth and Bill Goforth, both of Clover. S.C.; sisters Eva House of Fort Davis Texas, Ann Williams of Fulton, S.C. and Jean Ray of Clover, S.C.; daughter-in-law, Cathy Faulkner; 7 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 28th in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock (501) 661-9111 with Pastor Tim Evans officiating.

Interment will follow at Ida Mission Cemetery.
