William F. Bevenour, 71, of 416 Fairview Drive, Hanover, died Saturday, July 1, at Hanover General Hospital.
Born Jan. 5, 1924, in Mount Pleasant Township, Adams County, he was the son of the late Linus J. and Genevieve Yingling Bevenour, and the husband of Erma L. Sentz Bevenour to whom he was married for 49 years.
A member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Littlestown, he was employed by the former Revonon Malcolm and Bibb Co. and retired after 29 years of services as a supervisor. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing and watching softball and baseball.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers, Richard J. Bevenour of Spring Grove and Burnell P. Bevenour of New Oxford; three sisters, Dorothy A. Shrader, Nadine M. Dittenburn and Mary A. Shriver, all of New Oxford; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will he held 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, at Rest Haven Cemetery in Hanover, with his pastor, the Rev. Howard W. Miller, officiating.
Pallbearers will be Richard Forry, Robert Langheine, Cleason Messinger, Russel Shriver, Conway Dittenburn and Nevin Wright.
