Richard Samuel Bevenour was born September 18, 1919, in New Oxford, Adams County, Pennsylvania, the son of Linus Joseph and Genevieve Rebecca Yingling Bevenour. On September 27, 1940, in New Oxford, he married Betty Jane Valentine, daughter of Charles Franklin and Bertha Adella Hyser Valentine. They were the parents of two children: Paul E. and Lorraine C. Bevenour. Richard passed away on January 8, 1996, in Spring Grove, York County, Pennsylvania, and was buried in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, New Oxford, Adams County, Pennsylvania.
