Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, January 27, 1909 and The Alleganian, January 28, 1909: "Death of Michael McGreevy "Michael McGreevy, a well known and respected miner of this county, died last night at 6 o'clock at his residence after a short illness developing pneumonia. The deceased was for a long time a resident of Barton and moved, with his family, to Frostburg only six weeks ago. He is survived by a wife and nine children. The funeral will take place Thursday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Michael's Catholic Church. The cortege with the remains will take a special Car on the C. & W. Electric railway at 10 o'clock for Barton, where interment will be made in St. Gabriel's Catholic cemetery."
