Gary was born Decmember 20, 1950 in Soap Lake, Washington. He was raised and educated in Washington and graduated from Ephrata High School. He entered into the U.S. Navy in May of 1973 and was honorably discharged as an E4 in May of 1976. Gary then went to work in San Diego, California and worked in communications for Yosemite National Forest. He went to work for the U.S. Border Patrol in March of 2001 and moved to Have.
Gary enjoyed fishing, camping, black powder guns, being in the outdoors and photography. He was a member of the VFW.
