Funeral Services for Swen J Dahlberg, a fromer resident of Center City who ws killed by a locomotive at Eureka, Montana last Friday will be conducted from the Chapel of the Chisago Lake Lutheran Church with the Rev Oscar Sandahl officiating. Interment will be at the Chisago Lake Cemetary.
Swen Dahlberg was born in Roneby, Sweden, October 20, 1850. He came to America with his parents when he was 12 years old. The came to this community almost immediately upo arrival in this country. He spent his childhood day in america in this community being confirmed at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in 1874. When he was 29 years old he went to Fortine, Montana where he made his home. During his early days in Montana he took contracts on building railroads and later engaged
in the logging industry, in which he was engaged until his death.
Mr Dahlberg was back in this community in 1920 and renewed acquaintances with many old time friends. He was very well known here and was liked by all who came in contact with him. The body is being shipped from Montan. Details regarding the accident are unknown as Mr CD Nelson, a sister of the deceased received the sad news through a telegram in which it merely stated he he was killed by a locamotive. He leaves behind to mourn his loss two sisters, Mrs Andrew Holm and Mrs CD Nelson of Center City, five nephews, a niece and many oter relatives and friends. The bereaved have the sympathy of the entire community.
