"Jessie"
Janice (Jessie) Lucille McMillan Todd, passed away at the age of 76, ending her fight with Alzheimer's disease and returning home to live with her Heavenly Father, husband, parents, brothers, sisters and friends.
Jessie was born Nov. 23, 1935 to Newell and Mary Cheever McMillan. She graduated from Murray High School, and on February 9, 1954, married Ronald Dean Todd. Jessie and Dean owned the S & M Skating Rink for over 40 years. Jessie loved to roller skate. She especially loved to waltz with Dean while roller skating. Jessie was incredibly dedicated to her family and her calling as Relief Society president in the LDS Taylorsville 20th Ward, where she served with love and compassion for over 10 years. She had a great love for her sisters in the Relief Society and provided much assistance and care in their behalf. Jessie brought so much joy into the lives of all she met. Her service and compassion will never be forgotten. Jessie's greatest love in her life, were her grandchildren - Melissa, Jason, Chelsie, Tyler, Matthew, Jessica, Brittney, Ashley, Landon, and Hunter. Jessie will be greatly missed by all that have known her.
Jessie is survived by her children- Debbie ( Jack) Lucas, Brent (Michelle) Todd, Tonna (Troy) Syphus; 10 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Taylorsville 20th Ward LDS Chapel located at 3120 W. 4700 S., Taylorsville UT. There will be a viewing on Friday July 20, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church and prior to funeral services from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Interment Midway Cemetery, Midway Utah.
