Frank was born Jan. 29, 1922, in Leadville to John and Mary Propernick.
He served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant during World War II, serving in Normandy, northern France and The Ardennes and receiving two Purple Hearts. He was a member of the local American Legion and VFW.
His time was spent ranching, hunting, fishing and trapping. He worked at the Colorado State Reformatory (Correctional Facility) for 30 years. He enjoyed his grandchildren and friends.
Frank is survived by his wife of Buena Vista; sons and spouses of Morrison, Saudi Arabia, Arvada, and Gunnison; in addition to nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
Funeral Mass was held Wednesday, March 17, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Buena Vista, with interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
