ROY LEE 'HAPPY' ADAMS
ARCADIA, LA - Funeral services for Mr. Roy Lee "Happy" Adams, 73, will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday, June 1, 1997, at the First Methodist Church in Arcadia with Rev. Robert Peyton officiating and Rev. Don Ross assisting. Mr. Adams died Friday, May 30, 1997 in Arcadia, Louisiana. He was born July 28, 1923 in Athens, Louisiana. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Arcadia, the Arcadia Lions Club and the Masonic Lodge #136 of Athens. He served on the Arcadia Volunteer Fire Department for 39 years. Mr. Adams was a member of the Louisiana Cattleman's Association, as well as Beefmaster's Breeders United and NW Louisiana Beefmasters Association. He retired in 1983 and after 33 years of service with Louisiana Power & Light. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific on the U. S. Suamico A049.
