Services for James Lloyd Adams, 49, of 1414 Williamsburg at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Coker-Mathews-Peters Chapel with the Rev. D.D. Sumrall officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.

Mr. Adams died Monday morning in a local hospital.

He was born June 19, 1926 in Athens, La., to William F. and Mary Stewart Adams. He was married March 26, 1940 in Sarpeta, La., to Rasberry. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was a switchman for the L&A Railroad. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroads and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife; his mother of Athens, La., a son, Dwayne Adams of Greenville; a daughter, Mrs. Nannette Adams Gafford of Waco; a brother, Roy Lee Adams of Arcadia, La.; a sister, Mrs. Bobby Neyland of Bossier City, La.; and a granddaughter, Andrea Kathleen Gafford of Waco.

Pallbearers will be J.W. Smith, Ernie Carroll, Wallace Lawhon, A.R. McCroskey, G.V. Corley and G.L. Slack. Honorary pallbearers will be employes of L&A Railroad.
