He was raised in a loving and hard working farming family and continued farming until his retirement. He was best know by all as a quiet, gentle man who enjoyed helping his family, neighbors and friends whenever he was needed.
Survivors include three sisters, Millie Allen Martin and husband, Kelly, and Virginia Allen Flythe and husband, James Earl, of Conway, and Nell Allen Long and husband, Atwood, of Severn; one brother, Sidney William Allen and dear friend, Brenda Brickell, of Conway; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 6, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Suzanne Cobb presiding. Burial will follow in the Town of Conway Cemetery.
