Jane Louise Eck, 88, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Pratt Care Center in Pratt, Kansas. She was born June 4, 1924 in Harper, Kansas, the daughter of Noah and Sylva (Plank) Bauer. She married Levi F. Eck on November 24, 1948 at Harper, KS. He preceded her in death on December 5, 2002. Jane was a waitress at Don's Servateria in Pratt for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pratt.
She is survived by a son, Michael Ray Eck of Wichita, KS, a grandson, Ray Dean Eck of Wichita, KS, a brother, Norman Bauer of Uncertain, TX and a good friend, Helen Swinton of Louisville, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother, Lyle Bauer.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Saturday and from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Rd., Pratt, KS 67124. Funeral service will be held Monday, July 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Larrison Mortuary with Pastor Stan Hendershot presiding. Burial will be at Pleasant Valley Mennonite Cemetery in Harper, KS.
