Violet E. Huggens, of Hanover, entered into God's eternal care, July 9, 2012, in Chambersburg. She was the wife of J. Samuel Huggens, who died in 1997.

Born June 17, 1918, in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Sarah (Hoff) Dickensheets.

Violet was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

She was employed by Doubleday of Hanover, Milley Furniture and the Littletonian Shoe Factory until her retirement.

Violet enjoyed gardening and cooking in her spare time.

She is survived by one daughter, Phyllis J. Dusman of Chambersburg; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her brother, Walter Dickensheets of Hanover.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis E. Huggens who died in 1995 as well as her fifteen siblings.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., July 13, 2012, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Hanover, with Robert Ruhlman officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover.
