Walter B. Dickensheets entered into God’s eternal care on October 30, 2018 at age 93. He was the loving and caring husband of Evelyn G. Krumrine for seventy years. Walter was the son of the late Harry E. and Sarah Hoff Dickensheets. He served two years in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1945. He was employed by Revonah Spinning Mill for ten years, Utz Potato Chip Co. for twenty-nine years and Weis Markets for ten years.

Walter is survived by children, Allen and wife Sue of York, Elaine and husband Bruce Warner of Lancaster, Dale and wife Lisa of Hanover, and Craig and wife Nicole of Chesterfield, VA; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son, Wayne; brothers, Howard, Herman, George, Charles, Sterling, Roger and Norman; and sisters, Grace Hansford, Mildred Nace, Margaret Rudisill, Violet Huggens, Helen Baugher, Ruth Dickensheets and Catherine Kuhn.

Walter was a member of Hanover Church of the Brethren where he served as a Deacon for sixteen years and helped at the PAL Program. He really enjoyed sports, volleyball and playing cards as well as time spent at reunions, picnics and family get togethers.

The Funeral Service will be held at Hanover Church of the Brethren, 601 Wilson Avenue, Hanover, PA, at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 3, 2018, with Rev. Geraldine Godfrey officiating. Internment at St. Bartholomew’s Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
