LOIS MARIE SOWELL ELLIS
1935-2008

Lois Marie Sowell Ellis, age 72, of Livingston, TX, passed away Monday September 8, 2008 in Lufkin, TX. She was born in Falco, Alabama to the late John Littleton Sowell and Stella Bell Spence Sowell.
Lois attended Pleasant Home High School in Covington County, Alabama. She enjoyed needle work and quilting. Lois loved family reunions and "get togethers." She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Livingston, TX and was a devout Christian, she participated in Vacation Bible School and helped to make quilts that were sent to the needy in foreign countries.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John William Sowell and James Virgil Sowell.
Survivors include the love of her life to whom she was married September 8, 1956, Clay Ellis; a son, Mark (Janna) Ellis of Pearland, TX; a daughter, Tanya (Bobby) Reynolds of Mt. Juliet, TN; six grandchildren, Bobby Gene Reynolds III, Daniel Reynolds, Alexander Ellis, Augustus Ellis, Kyle Reynolds and Adrianna Ellis; three brothers, Grady Sowell, Cecil Sowell and Joseph Sowell; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Bradley Assembly of God in Wing, Alabama. Mrs. Lois will lie in state at the church from 10 AM until the funeral hour. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, September 12, 2008 from 6 until 8 PM.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
National Cremation & Burial Society of Milton, FL has been entrusted with the arrangements.
