Donald F Hansen, Staley Chemist, dies

Donald F Hansen, 5 South Dr., died suddenly at his home about 4 pm yesterday. Mr Hansen was a research chemist at the A. E. Staley Mfg. Co., where he had been employed for the past 35 years.

He was born in Carver, MN on May 28, 1903, the son of Adolph H and Augusta Koshinski Hansen.

He moved to Decatur in 1917 and has lived here since.

Mr Hansen was married in Champaign on Oct 15, 1927 to Irene White, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, William, a student at the University of Illinois; a brother, Walter O, Decatur; a sister, Mrs Eloise Cowger, St Petersburg, FL.

Mr Hansen graduated from the University of Illinois in 1927. He was a member of the Central Christian Church here.

The body is in the Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home. Arrangements are incomplete.
