Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, friend and daughter, Rhoda Opal Dickerson Jacobs, went home to our Heavenly Father August 29, 1998 at the age of 71. She was born December 31, 1926, in American Fork, the oldest daughter of John and Rhoda Ann Wilde Dickerson. She married Calvin Ray Jacobs April 25, 1947 in American Fork. Opal was always a very generous, giving, and loving person, always putting others first and never saying no. She served in the Relief Society as a visiting
teacher and served as a primary teacher and Cub Scout leader. She was Captain of Greenwood Camp of the Daughter of Utah Pioneers. She worked as a School Lunch Aide for 10 years. She loved camping and crocheting and just being with her family and grandchildren who will miss her dearly. Opal is survived by her loving husband, Ray, of American Fork, children: Ronald Jacobs, Rock Springs Wyoming; Clyde Jacobs, Jack Jacobs, Linda (Gary) Jolley, all of Highland; Shirley (Michael) Currier, Judy (Bruce) Black, both of American Fork; 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and expecting two more, a sister, Leah (Roy) Matson, Boise,Idaho. brothers: Bob Dickerson, Pocatello,Idaho, Kay Dickerson, Sandy, Ken Dickerson, China Lake, California; Jerry Dickerson, Montana; sisters-in-law: Frances Dickerson, Nampa, Idaho, Madge W. Dickerson,
American Fork, Madge D. Sheperd, Provo. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Max, Leo,Cecil and John, and a son-in-law, Barry Cannon.
Funeral Services will be Thursday,September 3 at 11:00 a.m.in the American Fork 5th Ward, 381 South 300 East.

East 100 North, American Fork, Wednesday September 2 6 to 8p.m. and Thursday at the Church one hour prior to
services. Burial in the Lehi City Cemetery.
