NOTE: After much diligent research, I found that the surname, Pembroke, was somewhat incorrect; the surname for some of the family is PEMBROOK (the Illinois folks); others in the family spelled the surname PEMBROKE. When Elisha moved to Texas, he started the "Pembroke" spelling. The information regarding the surname in the "Sackett Family" genealogy on-line is incomplete and a bit misleading.
