The Daily Notes, Canonsburg PA, Tuesday 07 September 1920, front page - STROKE FATAL TO MRS. W. K. THOMPSON --- MRS. MARGARET ANN GUTHRIE THOMPSON, aged 57 years and six months, wife of WILLIAM K. THOMPSON, a well known local contractor, died Monday evening at her home in West College Street, as a result of a paralytic stroke suffered Wednesday, August 25. She had been a resident of Canonsburg for many years. Mrs. Thompson was born March 15, 1863. Her marriage took place July 28, 1881. She leaves, besides her husband, these children: BESSIE MABEL, at home; MRS. S. P. McWILLIAMS and ELMER W. THOMPSON, Canonsburg, and these brothers and sisters: R. J. GUTHRIE, Arden; MRS. I. P. COWDEN, Beverly, O.; MRS. G. H. WILSON, Washington; MRS. IDA CLYDE, Canonsburg; MRS. H. G. VANCE, Canonsburg; MRS. SARA HENRY, Canonsburg, and MISS IRENE GUTHRIE, Canonsburg. She was a member of the Chartiers United Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Dr. W. P. Aikin at the Thompson residence, 310 West College Street, at 3 o’clock Wednesday afternoon. Interment will be in Oak Spring Cemetery.
