Max Sheldon Pattillo was the son of Henry Augustus Pattillo and Mary Lu "Mamie" Dyer Pattillo. He was born July 23, 1908 in Mountain Home, Baxter Co., Arkansas.

On October 4, 1941 he married Shirley Violet Constance "Vi" Lang in Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois.

He passed away May 10, 1978 in Phoenix, Maricopa Co., Arizona.

Services for Maj. Max S. Pattillo, 69, U.S. Air Force , retired were today in Menke Funeral Home. He Served 28 years until his retirement in 1958.

Maj. Pattillo, died Wednesday in a Valley hospital. He recently worked as a real estate salesman and managed a Circle K Store and a We Rent It Store. He was a member of Hope Baptist Church and the Eagles.

Survivors include his wife, Violet; two daughters; two sons; a brother and six grandchildren.
