Robert Morland Pattillo II was the son of Henry Augustus Pattillo and Henrietta H. "Hallie" Hall Pattillo. He was born about July 1867 probably in Cartersville, Bartow Co., Georgia.

In the 1870 census he lived with his parents in Cartersville. There is a Robert M. Pattillo listed in the Putnam Co, Popcastle, District 101, 1900 census that my be him but no proof has been found. In the census it indicates that he is a boarder, age 32, born in July 1867 in Georgia, occupation farm laborer; reads, writes and speaks English.

Robert M. Pattillo is presumed to have died prior to January 10, 1921 on which date his father, Henry Augustus Pattillo, passed away in Mountain Home, Baxter Co., Arkansas. In his father's obit, it states in regards to the children of his first marriage to Henrietta Hall. "This union was blessed with three sons and three daughters. One son and two daughters of this first marriage are still living." (Daughters, Ruth and Hallie of Georgia and son, Frank W. Pattillo of California, are living. The third son, James Henry known as Jimmie, passed away in 1908 in Shreveport, Caddo Parrish, Louisiana.)
