George Fielding Finnacom was born ca 1853 in Washington DC. His family was living at 204 20th St. W. George was a plasterer and living in DC and Virginia. George bought 10 acres of land in Falls Church (Sleepy Hollow) Virginia and built a log cabin. From there he had a still of note. When the cabin burned down he built another house on the land. He had a first wife and adopted child but their names are unknown at this time. George married for a second time to Eugenia C. Scott 14 September 1902 in Alexandria, Virginia. The 1910 census lists the family as follows. Little River Turnpike and Gallows Rd, Falls Church, Fairfax County, Virginia. George Finniacom, 52, house plasterer, 2nd marriage, married 20 years; Eugenia C., wife 35, 6 children, 5 living; George F. son 16; Mary E. daughter, 14; Julius S. son, 12; Bertha E.daughter 8; Ruth C. daughter 9/12? George died 12 March 1918 and is buried at Rock Creek Cemetery.
