Died 4 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 1988, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital, Covington. He was 84, and a lifelong resident of Folsom. He was a retired Millright with Baton Rouge Local No. 720. Visiting at Brown McGehee Funeral Home, Covington, 6:30 to 10 p.m. Sunday, and after 8 a.m. to religious services at 10 a.m. Monday. Burial in Willie Cemetery, Covington. Survived by wife, Ozzie Willie Loyd, Folsom; three sons, Donald Ray Loyd, Baton Rouge, Elwood Loyd, Folsom, and Hollis Loyd, Richmond, Va.; abrother, Jim Loyd,; two sisters, Ruth Morgan and Cora Thompson; all of Folsom; seven grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Preceded in death by three brothers, Kelton, Howard and Dixon Loyd; and a sister, Ruby Magee.
