Mrs. Lucy Mae Denny, 93, of 108 N. 9th Street, Crockett, died in a local nursing home Sunday, March 28. Mrs. Denny, widow of the late George H. Denny, was born in Houston County on Jan 9, 1878. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 1, in the First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. David (?) officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Gus Meriwether, A. S. Brewer, Leslie Wareing, J. E. Christopher, Travis W. Walker, W. P. Gibson, Ernest Hale, George E. McLean, Dr. N. C. Harkins, Otho Morrow and Paul Strban. Survivors include a son, Murdock Denny of Schenectady, N. Y., a brother, Harry Murdock Baker of California, two grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
