Susan married Nelson McGhee [1793] on October 13 1831 in Franklin County Virginia. His farm was about 10 miles south of Rocky Mount on Chesnut Creek, thus not far from Waitman Richards' land. Waitman's father Edward [1731] had established a large plantation between Sydnorsville and Sontag, about 6.4 miles south of Rocky Mount.
Nelson had previously married Martha Cooper in 1814. She passed on around 1830.
