Mrs. Joseph Bond Beall, wife of the late Joseph Bond Beall, of New York and Georgia, died on Saturday morning at her summer residence, 2818 Pacific avenue, Chelsea, New Jersey. She was an aunt of Heber L. Smith, of 249 North Fifth street.
Mrs. Beal was Miss Mary Lilly Brooke Grubb, a daughter of the late Clement Brooke Grubb, of Philadelphia and Lancaster, and a direct descendant of Edward Shippen, Justice of Supreme Court, and of Colonel James Burd, of Pennsylvania.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. William M. Thornton, of Wilmington, Del., and Miss Lilly Beall; one grandson, G. Tucker Smith, Jr., son of Medical Inspector G. Tucker Smith, U. S. N., and two sisters, Mrs. L. Heber Smith of Joanna and Philadelphia and Miss Daisy E. B. Grubb, of Lancaster.
