Anna Adams was the youngest child of Joseph R. Adams and Nancy Widick Adams. She was born in Prairieton Township just west of Moweaqua, Illinois. Anna had 11 brothers and sisters, most of which continued to reside in the Moweaqua area. She married Walter Denby. They had a son; Walter Gordon Denby and two daughters; Helen (Hargrove) and Florence (who died in infancy).
