Mary Anne Gross, of Hanover, peacefully entered into God's eternal care with her family by her side June 13, 2012. She was the wife of 57 years to Ronald J. "Jack" Gross.

Born May 3, 1938, in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Earl T. and Dorothy B. (Breighner) Brady.

Mary Anne was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica, Edgegrove and the Hanover Home Association.

She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting and especially spending time with her family.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are eight children, Charles Gross and wife Jennifer of VA, John Gross and wife, Cheryl of Spring Grove, Dorothy Murren and husband, Joseph of Chalkhill, Kim Riggs and husband, John of Hanover, Rebecca Bollinger of Hanover, Colleen Laughman and husband, Keith of Hanover, Janice Smith and husband, Dan of McSherrystown and Lynda Weaver and companion, Charlie Phelps of Philadelphia; 27 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one sister, Pauling French of McSherrystown; and three brothers, Earl and Andy Brady, both of Hanover and James Brady of McSherrystown.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Angela Bolin and Margaret Bair; and six brothers, Joseph, Richard, Frank, Alfred, Edward and Gerald Brady.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., June 18, 2012, at Sacred Heart Basilica, Hanover, with Rev. Lawrence J. McNeil officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
