Richard C. Brady, 66, of 19 Teanut Drive, Hanover, died Monday at the Veterans Administrarion Medical Center, in Lebanon, Pa, where he was a patient for six weeks.
He was born in Edgegrove, Pa., son of the late Earl T. and Dorothy B. Breighner Brady.
He was a member of the Sacred Heart Basilica, Edgegrove. He was retired from Eisenhart Wallcovering Company, Hanover, and he was a veteran of World War II who served with the U.S. Army in Europe. He also was a member of the CWV of Bonneauville, the Adams County Fish and Game, the McSherrystown Home Association, Hanover Knights of Columbus, and the New Oxford Social Club.
He is survived by his wife Geneieve M. Hemler Brady; two daughters, Ms. Cheryl A. DePalmer and Mrs. Katheryn L. Fabel, both of Hanover; three grandchildren; four brothers, Edward, Earl, James Brady, all of Hanover and Andrew Brady of Carlisle; four sisters, Ann Bolin of New Oxford, Mary Ann Gross and Margaret Bair, Both of Hanover; and Pauline French of Gettysburg.
Funeral services will be held Thursday meeting at Hicks Funeral Home in McSherrystown at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Basilica at 10 a.m., with his pastor Msgr. George W. Rost officiating. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery.
