D. P. Lattin
David P. Lattin, 65, of 3606 Franor St., died at 12:01 a.m. today in Alton Memorial Hospltal following several years of failing health. He had been hospitalized since last Monday.
A native of Oklahoma, Mr. Lattin was born Oct. 24, 1894, at Perry. He moved from Kansas City to Alton in 1914 and for a number of years had been employed at Laclede Steel Co.
Since his health began to fail he had been employed at the lighter duties of taxi driver.
He was a member of First Church of Christ (Scientist).
Surviving are his wife, Bessie Lattin, to whom he was married Jan. 15, 1916; two daughters, Mrs. Dale Allen, Alton, and Mrs. Forrest Holford, Denver, Colo.; a son, Narva, Alton; five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Narva Lattin, a brother, and two sisters, preceded him in death. His sister, Mrs. Rose Schmuch, died in 1956.
The body, is at Smith Funeral Home, Alton, where rites will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Valhalla Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
