Mrs. I. Paddock Dies at Age 49

Mrs. Inza Blanche Paddock, proprietor of 409 Restaurant on Belle street, and former restaurateur and singer in the Wood River-Alton area, died at 4 a. m., today In Alton Memorial Hospital at the age of 49. She had been a patient at the hospital since Tuesday evening. For the past 25 years Mrs. Paddock had resided in the Alton-Wood River area and during much of that time had been In the restaurant business or had been an entertainer.

In Wood River she had been at the President Restaurant and had been former manager of the Tremont Hotel there. For the past year she had managed the 409 Restaurant. She had been in ill health for two months, but her condition had been serious only the last four or five days. She is survived by her mother,
Mrs. Alice Costello, a brother, David Lattin, and a sister, Mrs. Harry Schmuch, all of Alton.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p. m., at Bauer & Hoehn funeral home with the Rev. O. W. Heggemeier, pastor of Evangelical Church, officiating. Burial will be In Oakwood cemetery. The body Is at the funeral home where friends may call after 2 p. m.,Friday.
