Charleston - Edgar Deal Britt of Mount Vernon, Ind., formerly of Mississippi County, died at his home after apparently suffering a heart attack. He was 63 years old.
Born Jan. 5, 1912, in Mississippi County, he moved to Mount Vernon 20 years ago, where he was employed as a construction worker until his retirement in 1974. He was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving are brothers, Herbert, Jewell and Ralph Britt; sisters, Mrs. Clarence Shively, Mrs. Melvin Forrest, Mrs. Doss Morris and Mrs. Joe Faire.
Funeral service will be Saturday at the McMikle Funeral Home here. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery.
