MARIONVILLE
Georgia B. Vanderhoof, 88, Marionville, died at 1:05 a.m Monday in Aurora Community Hospital.
She was born to George and Emma Ruth Rush Bailey. She married Dewey Vanderhoof on September 11, 1919 in red Oak, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey; a son, George, killed in Sicily during World War 2; a son, Robert, Marionville; an infant daughter; and a grandson, Kenneth Daugherty, killed in the Vietnam War.
She is survived by five sons, Darwin and Dewey, both of Marionville, Keith and Bill, both in Red Oak, Iowa, and Alan, Whitney, Texas; five daughters, Betty Martinsen, Verona, Ann Mae Maples, Republic, Colleen Sands, Red Oak, Iowa; Joy Kite, Everman, Texas, and Phyllis Lane, Fort Worth, Texas; a sister, Frances Day, Moore, Oklahoma; 39 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren.
She was a faithful member of Marionville Church of Christ and a long standing member, former officer and gold star mother of Marionville VFW and a member of Marionville Club.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Marionville Church of Christ with Jerry Keene officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak, Iowa, under direction of William Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Mrs. Vanderhoof died at 1:05 at 105 a.m. Monday in Aurora Community Hospital.
