March 12, 1918 - April 26, 2013 MOORE Frances Bailey Day, 95, went to be with the Lord on April 26, 2013. She was born March 12, 1918, in Red Oak, Iowa, to George Andrew Bailey and Emma Adelaide Rush. She attended Red Oak High School. For several years, she worked at the "Puritan Lunchonette" and later at "Hotel Johnson." On April 21, 1940, she married Hubert Alvin Day, of OKC, and they celebrated their 50th anniversary on April 21, 1990, before his passing on April 21, 1993. She was a member of the Methodist Church and order of the Eastern Star, having served as "Grand Martha" for the State of Oklahoma. She was also a member of Amarath. Preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Ferris & wife Bernice, Lester & wife Jessie, and Donald & wife Alice; sisters, Georgia Vanderhoof & husband Dewey, Myrtle Vanderhoof & husband Francis, Darlie Spangenberg & husband Ed, and Fren Lindner & husband Alvin Crete; stepbrother, Leonard Fleharty & wife Martina; and daughter, Karen Jo Waldrop; she leaves behind her two grandchildren: James Gregory Waldrop, of OKC; and Kecia Ann Stokes & husband David, of Longmont, CO; two great-grandchildren, James Aiden Waldrop and Drew Elizabeth Stokes; sister-in-law, Dorothy Day, of Fresno, CA; many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and neighbors. She will be deeply missed.
