Son of MY ANCESTORS, R.C. & AMANDA (DICKERMAN) ZINK, he married Helen Gorton on 29 Jun 1890 in Bristol, Illinois. He married second Velesta Boustlog. They adoped a son, George Nelson Zink.

GREENFIELD ARGUS, Sep. 10, 1915:
William N. Zink was born on June 23rd, 1865, at the old Dickerman homestead, three miles north of Greenfield and died at his home near Pocahontas, Illinois, Sept. 7, 1915, aged 50 years, 2 months and 16 days.
He was the oldest son of R. C. and Amanda Dickerman Zink, deceased, and grew to manhood in this vicinity, graduating from Greenfield Schools in 1884.
He was married June 27, 1890 to Helen Gorton and of this union were born two daughters, Alta Adalaide and Pearl Helen, aged respectively 23 and 22 years. Helen, his wife, departed this life Nov. 24, 1894. His second marriage was to Velesta A. Bouslog, June 17, 1901. No children were born of this union, but he leaves an adopted son, George Nelson, aged eight years.
While he had never united with any church he left the testimony of his faith in God and Jesus as his Savior and his willingness to go. He was a loving father and kind husband and was loved by his neighbors.
He leaves to mourn his departure, two daughters, Alta and Pearl and a son George, and three brothers, R. D. of Roswell, N. M., John Bell of Carlyle, Ill., Eli A. of Greenville, Ill., two sisters, Hannah J. Carson and Anna E. Ragland, of Greenville and a number of other relatives and friends. His body was brought to this city yesterday morning and funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church at 11 a.m. by Rev. W. M. of Alton. The interment was in Million Cemetery.
