Deceased Name: Arnold D. Burress, 73 Dunkirk, died Monday at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born on Jan. 2, 1934 in Smokey Junction, Tenn. to Virgil and Edith (Lowe) Burress,his wife, Sheila Hatfield-Burress, survives.Retired from Saint Gobain Containers in Dunkirk, he was a member of Community Baptist Church in Redkey, where he was Sunday School superintendent from 1971 until 1999, Local No. 96 G.M.P. and Lodge 695 F. & A.M. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Jeff (Drema) Simmons, Dunkirk, and Mrs. Tim (Jeanie) Stafford, Indianapolis; a son, Keith Burress, Dunkirk; four sisters, Imogene Vann, Pioneer,Tenn. Mrs. Teddy (Joan) Cook,Knoxville,Tenn. June Sharp and Mrs. Roy (Janie) Chambers, both of Huntsville,Tenn; three Doyle Burress, Eufaula, Ala. Argil Burress, Harriman, Tenn. and Jimmy Burress, Huntsville; and seven grandchildren. Services are Friday at 11 a.m. at MJS Mortuaries- Redkey Chapel. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Redkey. Visitation is today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Memorials may be sent to the donor's choice.
