James R. Calhoun Former Resident Dies in California
Funeral services for James R. Calhoun, 63, of 405 East Walnut street, Lodi, Cal., a former resident of Peoria who died at a Lodi hospital after a long illness were held Wednesday at the Wells funeral home in Lodi. Burial was in the Clements cemetery there.
Mr. Calhoun was a native of Illinois. He went to California several years ago and had resided in Santa Rosa until a year ago when he moved to Lodi. He was a retired employee of the General Mills Corp.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Raymond K. Calhoun of Dale, Ore.; two brothers, L. C. Calhoun of Fresno, Cal., and Keith Calhoun of Monica and two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Scheeler of Dunlap and Mrs. Ester German of Hardin. One sister, Mrs. Ethel Byrnes of Princeville and two brothers, Dick Calhoun of Princeville and Hugh Calhoun of Chillicothe preceded him in death.
