Funeral services for Ole A. Aase, 81, of Kenyon, were held Saturday, Aug. 14, at the Gol Lutheran Church in Kenyon, with the Rev. V. A. Jensen officiating. Interment was made in the Gol Cemetery. Kenneth Flom, accompanied by church organist Mrs. Victor Radtke, sang two vocal selections. Pallbearers were Harry Carlsen, Donald Hegseth, Richard Janousek, Harold Remold, Clarence Sande, and Maurice Quam. Ole Andreas Aase was born Jan. 1, 1890, in Sogn, Norway, to Ole and Anna Aase. He attended religious schools and was confirmed in 1903. In 1906 he immigrated to the United States, and on March 9, 1912, he was married to Anna Remold. He farmed in the Kenyon area until his retirement when he moved to the village of Kenyon. He was a life member of Gol Lutheran Church. Mr. Aase, who passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 11, at the Rice County District One Hospital, is survived by his widow; four sons, Oswald of California, Kermit of Brainerd, and Donald and Wallace of Kenyon, one daughter, Mrs. Alfred (Norma ) Huseth of Kenyon; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Sigurd; and one daughter, Mrs. Barton (Ardette) Beach. His parents, and his sisters and brother also preceded him in death.
