Willa Dean (Trower) Adsit passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012 at her home in Yale, Oklahoma.

Willa Dean was born June 4, 1924 in rural Pawnee County the only child to Lester and Lidia Trower. She attended Mannford public schools and graduated in May of 1942.

Willa Dean married her childhood sweatheart Billy Adsit on May 17, 1942 at Okemah, Oklahoma.

Willa Dean is survived by daughters Fernanda Mendenhall and husband Tom of Yale, Dianne Lovett and husband Roy of Mannford, Judy Goddard and husband Curtis of Cushing and son Richard Adsit and wife Lynn of Yale. She is also survived by her grandchildren Richard Mendenhall, Phillip Mendenhall, Barton Lovett, Ashley Lovett,

Christian Adsit, Ricky Adsit McIntyre, Billy Scott Goddard, Bradley Goddard and 14 great grandchildren.

She was employed as the Administrator of the Hospital in Yale for 12 years. Later employed by the First Bank and Trust in Yale until her retirement in 1980.

Willa Dean and Billy Adsit moved to Yale in 1949 where she resided until her death. They were both members of the First United Methodist Church of Yale. She enjoyed her many friends and family. She spent many hours playing cards with her friends.

Grave side services are planned for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Lawson Cemetery in Yale.

Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Yale, OK.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the First United Methodist Church of Yale in her memory.
