John Henry Nuckolls, 73, died at 10:30 a.m. today at his home in Edinburg. He was born October 24, 1862, four miles east of Auburn, a son of Charles and Susan Baker Nuckolls. On April 28, 1896, he married Miss Emma Simpson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Methodist Church in Edinburg, Rev. Mr. Jefferies officiating. Interment will be in the Edinburg Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife and two children, Mrs. Edna Angleton of near Edinburg, and Mrs. Irene Bolin, Springfield; three grandchildren; four brothers, Robert, Samuel and James, all of Edinburg, and W. W. Nuckolls, Baltimore, Maryland; two sisters, Mrs. Nan Whillhite, Springfield, and Mrs. Martha Orndoff, Thorpe, Washington; two half-sisters, Mrs. Emily Green and Mrs. Amanda Banta, both of Weleetka, Oklahoma.

The family moved to Edinburg thrifty six years ago. Mr. Nuckolls was a member of the Methodist Church and the Modern Woodmen of America here.
