Mrs. Alma A. Parks, 92, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1999, at Wesley Long Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, 1999, at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.

A native of Wilkes County, Mrs. Parks was a school teacher, homemaker, a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and a member of the Young at Heart Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Parks and her granddaughter, Vickie L. Parks.

Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Raymond H. and Merril Parks of Greensboro; grandson and wife, Raymond H. Parks, Jr. and Beth; great-grandchildren, Meredith and Morgan Parks, all of Rougemont; brothers, Sherman Anderson of Wilkesboro; sisters, Crittie Parker of Wilkesboro, Lora Shore and Vecie Dancy, both of North Wilkesboro.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, 1999, at the funeral home and other times, at the residence of Raymond H. Parks, at 4818 Vickery Chapel Rd., in Greensboro.

Memorials may be directed to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 3812 Groometown Rd., Greensboro, NC 27407.
